RAINBOW LEVEL ACHIEVEMENTS
An amazing program was introduced at BAdc to develop dancing through progression levels for all our dancer's whether recreational, competitive, or examinations students.
BASIC ATTITUDE dance company RAINBOW LEVEL ACHIEVEMENTS
All students are stars who dance at BAdc as they work their way through a RAINBOW of colours throughout each dance season and improve their technique, performance and Basic Attitude.
All dancer's will receive dance progression reports in Fall, Winter and Spring to show their family how fantastic they are doing. All dancers will also receive a BAdc Rainbow Achievement Certificate at our fabulous professional year end show for student's who complete their full year of dance.
MOMMY, DADDY, & ME - PINK
An introduction to dance and movement program especially designed for 1 & 2 year olds. Dance along with your child to memorable nursery rhymes and songs with the teacher's assistance to introduce ideas of movement through creative exploration. All families will be provided with a Mommy, Daddy, & Me Program CD for Fall Winter, and Spring!
BEGINNER - RED
A 45 minute class for our young beginners ages 3 - 6 years which introduces tap, jazz, ballet, and acro dancing with stories, creative ideas, and themes to encourage children to develop a strong love of dance in a positive and thrilling way. All children with be provided with a RED progression reports Fall, Winter, & Spring!
NOVICE - ORANGE
A program for 4 - 8 year olds, for our second year dance students, children whom have experienced other physical style lessons, and the older or competitive beginner who wants to experience various styles of dance. Dancer's will begin to work on progressions in dance with creative ideas and themes to enhance the young dancer's focus as we introduce the understanding of basic fundamental technique, performance and Basic Attitude. Dancer's must choose a minimum of two styles up to as many as four styles in tap, jazz, ballet , and/or acro. Dancer's may dance once a week or dance over two days. Novice dancer's may also dance their chosen styles more than once a week. Progression reports will be received Fall, Winter, & Spring!
MINI - YELLOW
A program for 6 - 9 year olds that develops each style in its own 45 minute or 1 hour program per week . Dancer's become aware of technique, discipline, and the love for specific styles continuing through a more mature creativity developed through the and Danceer's may choose one style of dance to an unlimited choice for the more dedicated student. The learn basics in styles such as tap, jazz, ballet, acro, hip hop , musical theatre and may now commit to examinations and competition at parent and teacher's discretion. Progression Reports will be received Fall, Winter, Spring!
JUNIOR - GREEN
A program for 7 - 11 year olds that continue to develop technique, style and discipline with an emphasis on developing a detailed and controlled sense of training. Many dancer's begin experimenting with other styles, competition and examinations. Progression reports will be received Fall, Winter, Spring!
TWEEN - LIGHT BLUE
A great start for the older beginner 8 - 13, who wants to dance with children their own age and move quickly through in the pursuit of working at more developed level of dance. Classes are broken down at a slower pace, however the work is at a Junior/Intermediate Level to encourage the older beginner to advance in a positive, friendly, and non-competitive environment. Progression reports will be received Fall, Winter, Spring!
INTERMEDIATE - BLUE
A program for 9 - 13 years olds who have worked through the junior level and are now ready to work on more advanced progressions, syllabus, and programming at the pre-senior levels. Most children are dancing in various forms and may be competitive or take examinations. Progression reports will be received Fall, Winter, Spring!
SENIOR - INDIGO
A program for 11 years and up and are ready for higher levels and progressive syllabus with advanced combinations, young adults who are serious about dance that want to enhance their skills to take them into a career in dance, or use accreditation for high school credit, resumes, and college and university acceptance. Progression reports will be received Fall, Winter, Spring!
ADVANCED - VIOLET
A program for 13 years and up for students are thinking of a career in dance or has a passion for dance that wants to work towards developing her styles, techniques, and disciplines to an advanced/pre-professional level of work. Progression reports will be received Fall, Winter, Spring
ADULT - PEACH
The beginner adult or previous experienced adult who wants to develop skills in fitness or dance skills in a fun and friendly dance environment.

TAP
a form of dance where in rhythmical sounds are created by the feet
JAZZ
a form of dance which develops a freestyle freedom of movement with the basics of posture and body structure
BALLET
a form of dance which develops the base principles of all dance technique, posture, and placement for all dance forms

ACROBATICS
a cross form of dance that develops hyper flexiblity an controlled gymnastic moves and is a combination of dance and gymnastics
HIP HOP
a style of jazz that has been developed to introduce the us of isolations movements of various parts of the body
LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY
a style of dance that helps the dancer to interpret the lyrics of the song, a strong foundation in jazz and ballet is needed
MODERN
a form of dance that develops the fall and recover method of Graham/Limon techniques and is considered a cross form of jazz, and ballet
BEGINNER COMBO
A creative combination class which develops tap, jazz, ballet, and acrobatic styles which introduce the basics of a dance class with a strong basis in technique, creative stories, ideas, and themes
DANCE COMPETITIONS
Competition is offered to student's who work hard to achieve dance goals and aspire for more stage experience and dance time. Competitive student's start to prepare for competition with extra rehearsals starting in September to prepare for competitive season that begins its April.
We attend four competitions per dance competition season. Three competitions are within the area and one travel competition per dance season.
There are no audition fees to become a competitive member of BAdc as we feel all student's can be stars with focus, commitment, and passion. Rehearsals must be attended and a complete commitment is required to compete.
BAdc will recommend to each dancer what style and whether your child is ready for a group, trio, duet, or solo.
DANCE EXAMINATIONS
ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE BALLET EXAMINATIONS
At BAdc, we offer the following examinations in ballet with world reknowned syllabus Royal Academy of Dance with Children's Levels from Pre- Primary, Primary, and Grade 1 to Grade 5 & Major's Levels from Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced 1 & Advanced 2.
Parent's will be notified in December to let you know if your child is ready for an examination with the RAD.
Students taking examinations will be required to take two classes minimum for Grades Levels and 3 classes minimum for Major's Levels. There is RAD examination fee required to take each level, and each child must attend a 2 mock exams with pianist under the instruction of their dance teacher.
CANADIAN DANCE TEACHER'S ASSOCIATION EXAMINATIONS
We offer tap, jazz, and acrobatic examinations with the nationally recognized Canadian Dance Teacher's Association in all levels from Preliminary, Primary, Grade 1 - 4 and Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Parent's will be notified by newsletter in early November to let you know what level and style your child is ready to attempt, with detailed instruction about the commitment for examinations with CDTA.
Children will be required to attend Grade Seminars to train for the style of dance and level that they would like to be examined. CDTA will require a examination fee for each examination and children must be commited to attend the full dance seminar and mock examinations without absentism in order to take the examination .
MUSIC FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
MUSIC PUPS & SUNRISE PROGRAMS
Join our registered Music For Young Children Instructor, Jan Brown in a music and music class for your baby and todlers. Beginning with Music Pups which is a special music & movement program designed to informally teach basic music competency to babies and toddlers in a fun-filled atmosphere. By exposing your little musician to music at a very young age, you will take advantage of their quick learning abilities and maximize their potential for musicality ablitity. Your child will then move onto Sunrise Program which develops the continued introduction of instrumentation, tone, scales with an emphasis on creativity and fun in learning.
